I did some figures while trapped at work today. First day of the week and already 10 or 11 items worth noting on the counter of stupid. That works out to an average of 88.8 items over a 40 hour week...assuming they happen at the same rate. Perhaps I should start keeping track of which days and/or hours have the highest density of....well....um...denseness I guess...

On a lighter note, yesterday was an amusing one at work for the simple reason that I picked up my friend Kikai on the way in, since she needed to go to Portsmouth to do some industrial landscape drawings. Then, instead of taking the bus home, she decided to hang out there until I was allowed to go home...a good 6 hours after she finished her drawing...she helped out with the pasting of clearance labels and keeping me from eating children.

More lighter news of work...Mr. P came in today. He's an older gentleman I first met during ski season because he wanted new equipment, and needed it ready quickly for a trip to Europe. He said it wasn't really a rush, but if possible, he'd like them ready beforehand so he could try them here before leaving. Well...I got them ready for him within 2 days...my first real experience in putting together REALLY expensive (for us anyway...about $850 per set, of which he had two) gear. He was quite happy with them, and now makes a point of saying "Hi" whenever he comes in. Well...at the end of the last ski season, he ended up with a very badly mismatched pair of snowboard boots for his son's birthday (which was last week) and he didn't discover it until they gave them to the boy and he tried them on. Well, to make a not so long story even shorter, I was able to track down a replacement pair for him that should arrive in a few days. It feels strange to have a good feeling from doing something like that for a customer. Oh well...he's cool.
